The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has substantial social media presence
Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile supporters as she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, received a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on running the country, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He advised me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, specifically among younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
